Today’s photograph shows Egmont Street in Patea, looking south, probably taken in the mid to late 1970s.  On the right is Howard S. Anderson Chemist with large clock, Cafe Royal specialising in ‘Steaks, Grills, Fish and Takeaways’, the B.P. Service Station, and then St. George’s Church.
