Photo of the week: High St, Hawera, early 1900s

Today’s photograph is of High Street in Hawera looking south towards the water tower. In the foreground is R. E. Tingey & Co Ltd Decorators shop and on the road horse and cart are competing with the new automobile, probably taken late 1910’s or early 1920’s.
