The art and textile Mystery Night at the Museum on 24 June was attended by around twenty people. We looked at a number of interesting artworks from our collection and some of our special clothing items. The evening gave people a chance to look more closely at the collections that are stored away in our backrooms. A particular highlight were the Christopher Aubrey watercolours of Patea and Howard Anderson’s discussions and knowledge about the history of Patea. Next month’s night on 29 July will be looking at some highlights from our photography and film collection.
