On Saturday we had a neat group of visitors; two carloads of young women from Taranaki who are part of the Emerging Museum Professionals group. EMP is a fairly loose national network of people who are relatively new to the profession. They support and challenge each other, share ideas, and are building collegial networks that can last a lifetime. I love the fact the Taranaki group is one of the most active in the country – it was really good to spend a few minutes chatting with them. The future of Museums in New Zealand is in good hands with such bright and enthusiastic young professionals coming up through the ranks.
