Helping with research

A young woman came into the Museum today looking for information about the history of schooling in Patea for a history paper she is doing as part of her teacher training. By coincidence we have a temporary display about, you guessed it, the history of schooling on display in our education room at present. She was delighted with the information available and took photos, made notes and bought some photocopies as well. As she said, Patea has a rich history and being able to take photos of the ex-Patea Primary School grounds really emphasises the changes that the town has undergone.
