We had a good turnout for our Volcanoes programme this afternoon, and a nice mix of adults and children. Rob is enthusiastic about volcanoes and this encouarged others to feel the same. Rob talked about Mt Taranaki, why eruptions occur and the likelihood of an eruption in our region. The younger ones then built a volcanoe and, with the help of some basic household chemicals, the mountain erupted with an impressive pink lahar.
